On Saturday, Hollingworth lake was transformed into a colourful spectacle as residents donned their most imaginative costumes for our first Fancy Dress Fun Run. Participants of all ages gathered at Hollingworth lake to enjoy a day of fitness, fun, and community spirit—all in support of Jolly Josh.
“We’re thrilled to see so many people come out today,” said Liz Dodd, the event coordinator. “Not only are we having so much fun, but we’re also raising funds for Jolly Josh”
Participants collected donations through sponsorships and entry fees, with all proceeds going directly to Jolly Josh. Sponsorship is staying open for another week.
The Fancy Dress Fun Run not only promoted health and wellness but also highlighted the power of community in making a difference. We are already planning for next year’s event, aiming to make it even bigger and better.
