HYDROTHERAPY SUITE

At The Jolly Josh Centre, we have designed our Hydrotherapy Suite with families living with complex medical and physical needs in mind. Our pool measures five meters in length, 2.5 meters in width, and has a depth of 1.2 meters. The water in our pool is heated to a soothing 35 degrees and features underwater lighting for a serene and enjoyable experience.
We take accessibility seriously. Our Hydrotherapy Suite is fully wheelchair and buggy accessible, ensuring that everyone can easily enter and move around. We have equipped the suite with an electronic hoist, appropriately sized slings, an adult-sized changing table, and shower, and a private changing room within the suite, complete with a toilet, shower, and adaptable seating including a Rifton Wave bed which has both newborn and adult sized chairs, for added convenience and comfort.
Safety is paramount at Jolly Josh. Every session led by our Hydro Lead Emma Hutchinson are individually risk assessed with the child’s parent/carer at which point diagnosis, experience, physical and emotional well-being including ‘safe swallow’, are taking to account. All submersions are assisted.
Our Hydrotherapy Pool sessions are offered free of charge for Jolly Josh Families, and they can also be used as part of a child’s care allowance. Additionally, the Hydrotherapy Pool is available for private hire, allowing individuals and groups to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of this unique space.
