“We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives.” – John F. Kennedy
What a busy week we have had at Jolly Josh. With the arrival of our personalised handmade coconut shy from Peter at Sign and Print direct! Thank you so much Peter, I am sure both the adults and children will have a fantastic time at our beach event in July. I can imagine some adults getting very competitive too!

“If your legs are tired, run with your heart.“
Last weekend, we had an abundance of supporters at the Great Manchester Run.
Jannah Hayah Jhc who ran the 10km alongside her son Aiden. Aiden, attends both of our hydrotherapy and stay and play sessions, and ran the junior 1.5km. Their original plan was for Jannah to push Aiden in his wheelchair. After being told this couldn’t go ahead, Aiden ran his own race, how absolutely amazing! https://gofund.me/f575f74d

Esme, who attends both of our stay and play sessions and hydrotherapy, is very proud of her mum @emmamckay210419 and brother Josh , who had been busy training and ran the half marathon! Another huge achievement which we are incredibly grateful for.

A group of 40 students at Rochdale 6th Form Began their fundraising last week within college. After a presentation from our fundraiser Liz, they brainstormed fundraising ideas and came into visit us at Jolly Josh. They started their week selling cakes and Jolly Josh Merchandise, finishing their fundraising by running the 10km. Fantastic!

Rachel Riding, set herself 3 fantastic challenges,
Rachel told us the reason behind her fundraising.
“Sienna was diagnosed in December with CP, it was a massive shock to us! Since December I have struggled to adjust and get my head around things.
I wanted to challenge myself and give something back, with to raise some funds and more awareness.
I set Sienna an Instagram page up, here Sophie reached out and told me about Jolly Josh. Me and Sienna had never been to a place like this before.
We were made to feel so welcome, happy smiling faces. Sienna was so comfortable in the water and loved her session with Natalie.
Mondays in the hydro pool are now our favourite thing to do, we have met some beautiful children and their mummy’s! I can’t wait to see how much Sienna grows from this. “
Rachel began by walking the Yorkshire 3 peaks, then continued her fundraising efforts by climbing Snowdon and finished with a sky dive! Absolutely amazing, and 3 incredible challenges.

We are so grateful for all our supporters; you help to keep the doors of our centre open.
Thank you!
