What a fantastic day we had at our Summer Fun Day on Saturday! Despite the rain, it certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits, and the event was filled with fun, laughter and an incredible sense of community.
There was something for everyone to enjoy, with craft activities, the Human Spin Machine, Hook-a-Duck, the Coconut Shy and, of course, the ever-popular Tug of War. We also enjoyed an exciting football match between Bury Police and Easy ST PT, with Easy ST PT taking home the trophy. The mascot race was another highlight of the day, with the Easter Bunny running or should we say hopping across the finish line as the winner!
Most importantly, thanks to the amazing support of everyone involved, we are thrilled to announce that after all deductions, the event raised an incredible £2,661 for Jolly Josh. Every single penny will help us continue providing vital support to children with complex medical needs and physical disabilities and their families.
A huge thank you goes to our wonderful volunteers. Whether you helped prepare and plan the event, ran a stall, played in the football match, dressed up as a mascot, baked delicious cakes, donated sweets, provided first aid, or helped behind the scenes in countless other ways, we simply couldn’t have done it without you. Your generosity, enthusiasm and hard work made the day such a success.
